Rain, Rain, Go Away! Looks like we're in for another rainy day on Thursday the 28th. What's your favorite rainy day activity? Believe it or not, there's still plenty of fun to be hand in Southwest Florida whether you're a resident, snowbird or vacationer. Here are some fun rainy day activities for you to check out with your family:
- Catch a movie at the Island Cinema on Sanibel. Thursday, Jan 28th you can watchg The Revenant at 3:30pm or 7pm. The Big Short will be playing at 8pm. CLICK HERE
- Grab your umbrella and go shelling - that's right, I said go shelling in the rain! Storm churn up some great shells and you'll have first pick some less people will be out.
- Take the family bowling at the Beach Bowl & Arcade in Ft. Myers Beach. CLICK HERE
- Check out the Imaginarium Science Center in Ft. Myers. CLICK HERE
- Peruse an art gallery. Did you know Southwest Florida is a hub for artists. Check out some of the great places where you can see some fantastic art. CLICK HERE
- Read a book, snuggle on the couch and watch a movie or take a relaxing nap! Just enjoy the day and never fear, the sun always shines again soon in Southwest Florida!
Thursday, Jan 28th: Fall in Love With your iPad and iPhone: Advanced Course. $35 for members and $45 for guests - open to the public at The Community House 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
Saturday, Jan 30th and 31st: 24th Annual SCCF Tennis Tournament at The Dunes.
Sunday, Jan 31st: 8am - 1pm Sanibel Farmers Market at Sanibel City Hall 800 Dunlop Rd.
I'd ike to personally invite you to the Sanibel-Captiva Heart Walk on Sunday, January 31st starting at 1pm. There will be a 5k run, a 1 mile run, a silent auction and great fun with friends! You are not required to run, walk or even donate. I'd love for you to just come out and show your support for the great work the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Assocation do for awareness, treatment and prevention of heart realted conditions. Did I mention the Silent Auction items are GREAT! Come to the Sanibel Farmer's Market and get some great heart healthy, locally grown gruits and veggies and then come over to the corner of Tarpon Bay Rd and Island Inn Rd for the Heart Walk at 1pm!
