First and foremost, I'd like to make sure all of my friends in Cape Coral are safe and secure after the tornado touchdown and that all of you across Southwest Florida are safe and unhurt. Things can be replaced, damage can be corrected, homes can be repaired, I hope you and your families are all safe.

Now thru  Saturday Jan 30th: Myra Roberts painting and collages are on display at the Sanibel Public Library (770 Dunlop Rd). The display is free and open to the public. Be sure to stroll throughout the whole library to see all of her works.

Tuesday, Jan 12th: Organizing Your Family Research - A free program open to the public held at the Sanibel Public Library (770 Dunlop Rd) presented by the Lee County Genealogical Society. CLICK HERE for more details.

Ron Bopp, Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club member will be presenting at the Shell Club meeting on January 17th held at the Bailey Matthews Shell Museum. He'll be talking about the history of seashell trading cards and their history over the last 100+ years. This meeting is open to the public and is a fun event to learn more about the diversity of shells and shell related art.
